Micro Mobility Systems AG (Switzerland) presented at the Paris Motor Show two new models of Pioneer Series mini-electric cars – Microlino Lite and Spiaggina – aimed at young drivers. Their production has already started. It is planned to produce about a thousand electric cars of both models.
According to co-founder Oliver Ouboter, the main idea behind their creation is to provide the opportunity to become car owners to “as many people as possible without a driver’s license who want to travel without being dependent on bad weather.”
The single-seater Microlino Lite with a 6 kW engine and a top speed of 45 km/h belongs to the European L6e class. It retains the extreme minimalism characteristic of all Microlinos – boarding is through the front door, and the headlights and side mirrors are a single unit. Even 14-year-olds are allowed to drive the Microlino Lite, so no driver’s license is required.
