Navajo Indians said the moon missions were a desecration of her

NASA responded evasively, saying that they do not have the ability to regulate the activities of private space business. But the reaction of the business itself, represented by Celestis, was much tougher. The Moon is of great importance to many cultures and religions, but they do nothing to work with it in a practical sense. Under international agreements, no one has any rights to the moon, so taking anyone’s opinion into account when planning missions there is unnecessary. Moreover, because of the conflicting positions of different religions and cultures, it is not possible to obtain official permission from all of them at once, which will simply close the road to space for mankind.
